EMERGE IS A SOCIAL IMPACT CONSULTANCY

Mission
Organisations have the power to create meaningful, positive change to build a just and thriving world. My mission is to enable organisations to harness this potential by embracing a culture of diversity and inclusion, creating structures that uphold equity and by being guided by principles of social justice.
Vision
I envision a world where organisations operate not only as vehicles for profit but as forces for good, where every individual is included, valued and contributing meaningfully.
I am included when I can bring any aspect of myself to work without fear of judgement or fear that I will compromise my ongoing job prospects.
I am valued when my differences are not only accepted but are celebrated and fundamental to the organisational strategy.
I am contributing meaningfully when I find meaning in the way my responsibilities and skills are applied at work.
I see this as a vital puzzle piece to a more inclusive, socially cohesive world.
I spent my early career in finance, which really helped “finance” my true passion at the time: travelling the world. Immersed in worlds outside my norm, my soul needed to sing a different song. I went back to university for a post-graduate degree in social development, which landed me in the community sector running grassroots campaigns, setting up an outrageously capable team, raising voices and growing a movement. This all sounds fun now, in writing, but the negotiations, trade-offs and hard realities also took their toll.
Life then took me to Germany and I began to build my network from scratch. In 2020, I started a locally based community of geographically mobile women and non-binary people, which now hosts around six community events a month for its 1,500 members. In 2021, I joined forces with four brilliant co-founders to form a co-op and build a local ecosystem of companies, solopreneurs and start-ups interested in doing business that serves people and planet.
Now, I’m channelling everything I’ve learnt – from my childhood in outback Australia, to my decade in the corporate world, to moving countries (four so far) and careers, each time getting better at the thing I love most: creating community. This time, I’m bringing a culture of belonging and inclusion into the workplace, especially for the international community and for intersectional women – in finance, in STEM, in boardrooms and all other workplaces where we wish to be fully seen, included and engaged. This is why I started Emerge: Consulting for Social Impact.
